Pleasant Sunday Afternoons

The genteel occuption for the enquiring mind on a quiet afternoon.

All Pleasant Sunday Afternoon talks are from 3.00pm to 4.00pm.

26th March - 'Restoration of the Monuments at Hardwick Road Cemetery' by Dr Julian Litten

9th April - “The Salt Making Industry in East Anglia” by Bryan Howling

23rd April - “Premier Inns? The Friaries, their Guesthouses and celebrity guests” by Fr Peter Rollings

7th May - “The Classical Country House from the Renaissance to the Present Day” by Professor David Watkin

No booking necessary, no admission charge, just a donation box.

Hanse Day - 20th May

1-2pm Performance by King's Lynn U3A music group - This performance has been cancelled

2-3pm "The Newport Medieval Ship: Why she came to Newport & never left" by Robert Kenny. Ticktes £3, available from True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum from 13th April.

3:30pm Book launch of 'Six Essays in Hanseatic History'

All events will take place on the 2nd floor of Marriott's Warehouse.

Rocks of Lynn - 28th May at 2pm

Join Robin Stevenson & Dr Paul Richards on a walk to discover Lynn's buildings and where the materials to create them came from. £5 per person - places are limited so book to avoid disappointment.
This walk starts at Marriott's Warehouse and the group will be meet outside.
